We opened Cafe Moderno in 2012 with a simple belief: food should be fresh, healthy, and full of flavor. Mediterranean cuisine was the natural fit.

Our home at 9197 Central Ave has a deeper history. This location housed a beloved neighborhood Greek café for over 35 years — some locals still remember it as Theo's. When we took over, we kept what mattered: the original Greek dressing recipe, now on our menu as Theo's Original Greek. We reimagined everything else — lighter preparations, more grilled vegetables, lean proteins, house-made sauces, and bold Mediterranean flavors built for how people eat today.

That's the idea behind "Moderno." Respect the roots. Refresh everything else.
