We opened Cafe Moderno in 2012 with a simple belief: fresh, wholesome food should also be food you look forward to eating. Inspired by the Mediterranean way of eating, we serve fire-grilled kabobs, grilled salmon, crisp salads, wraps, paninis, and pastas—along with dips and dressings made in our kitchen. Timeless flavors.
Our Story
Our home on Central Avenue has a story, too. Before Cafe Moderno, this was a neighborhood Greek café called Theo’s for more than 20 years. Some locals still remember it. When we took over, we kept Theo’s original Greek dressing recipe and reimagined the menu around fresh Mediterranean food. We still serve that dressing on our Theo’s Original Greek salad today.
We’re a family-owned kitchen, and we love seeing people gather around a meal—whether it’s lunch with a friend, dinner with family, or a Mediterranean spread for the whole office lunch or family celebration. Good food brings people together.
